Breast_Reduction.jpgWomen with large breasts and who are also suffering from back pain may find relief through breast reduction surgery.

Upper back pain is most often caused by strain on ligaments and muscles.  The strain can be caused by poor posture (sitting at a computer too long), repetitive motion or large, heavy breasts that put a strain on the muscular system.

If you’ve tried physical therapy, medications or other treatments to help with your upper back pain and have experienced insufficient results, it may be time to consult with the experts at Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Center in Denver.   According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, half of 179 women with breasts size DD or larger had almost constant upper back pain or pain in their necks, shoulders, or lower backs prior to breast reduction surgery. Following the surgery, only about 10 percent of women had these same symptoms, demonstrating a significant improvement.
