Rhinoplasty for Broken Nose

Rhinoplasty_for_a_broken_nose.jpgRhinoplasty (or a nose job as it’s often referred to) is a popular cosmetic procedure.  For a broken nose, rhinoplasty can also work well to correct deformities or defects caused by the break.

Rhinoplasty may be an ideal option for a broken nose, although treatment needs to be prompt to avoid having the injury start to heal before the procedure is performed.  If you think you may have a broken nose, seek treatment as soon as possible, and no later than 72 hours after the break.  Although many people seek emergency care for a broken nose (since it often produces bleeding), rhinoplasty for nose realignment should be sought as soon as possible after the injury occurs.   Your doctor may decide to order a CAT scan to evaluate the sinus channels, septum, bone, cartilage and other surrounding tissues.

It is important to choose a highly qualified, board certified cosmetic surgeon if you’re considering this procedure.  If you’ve suffered a broken nose and not had it corrected, or weren’t happy with an earlier corrective procedure, please contact Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Center in Denver at 303-367-9000 or serotamd.com for a consultation.
